Irina Biatturi Exhibition: Women in the Roaring Twenties A new artist has joined the select group of painters represented by Michel Estades some of whom have been with him for over thirty years: the painter Irina Biatturi. The gallerist shares his thoughts: “I was captivated by her work at an art fair in Antibes where she was exhibiting. I met her, and we immediately connected. Given our mutual understanding, I invited her to showcase her work in my galleries, and I am convinced that our artistic and personal collaboration will thrive in the long run. Irina Biatturi has been welcomed into the Estades gallery by both Michel Estades and Caroline Lin, the director of the Toulon branch. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Irina Biatturi has lived in several countries, including Mexico and New Zealand, before being drawn to the luminous beauty of Antibes, where she has had her studio for the past 23 years. Her oil paintings focus primarily on women, drawing inspiration from the Art Deco movement, particularly in their settings. Executed with striking realism, each piece showcases remarkable artistic precision. With the omnipresent Côte d'Azur as a reference, Irina Biatturi primarily works with shades of blue, striving to balance cool and warm tones in her compositions.
